Major Highway 401 crash near Newcastle involves up to 80 vehicles

At least five people have been injured, some critically, in a multi-vehicle collision in wintry weather on a busy southern Ontario highway.

Police reopened the westbound lanes of Highway 401 between Newcastle and Newtonville around 11:40 p.m. ET and the eastbound lanes a couple of hours earlier.

Provincial police said five people were transported to hospital, two with life-threatening injuries, and one was re-routed to Sunnybrook Medical Centre in Toronto.

Aaron Lazarus of Lakeridge Health says police were going from car to car checking for injured people on the closed 10-kilometre stretch of highway about 80 kilometres east of Toronto.

Simple Plan in Toronto (August 16)
Hey everyone, Simple Plan is coming to Toronto on August 16 and you know what, those  and nazis from Molson Canadian Amphitheatre (I’m sure the same who doesn’t allow us to take DSLRs to any show and for sure those who have de la Turret’s syndrome on the phone) they use their democratic right to prohibit posting about this concert on some event site as they haven’t announced that yet.

That’s how they interprete Canadian democaracy.
Now I know, you know, we know and we’ll tell our friend. So those free-speech-phobes from Molson can go to hell — the most jerky jerks I’ve ever met in events industry on 2 continents.
Now how else they use their outstanding brains?
MolsonCanAmp’s website looks just like  from 1945. Respect is not the only thing that is missing Molson Amphitheatre’s board — their branding and style feeling is as good as bull-frog’s. And Front-end Developer must be like 97 years old, he is not German though, otherwise he would be much more pedantic. They treat texts and space on their site with even less respect they treat their visitors, just like they treat publishers.
In a short Molson Canadian Aphitheatre is so far back in past that whoever wants to compete them, would look better even if they simply won’t communicate to people at all.

With the warmest feelings to a rude bitch on Molson’s Amp. phone line.A.

1912, first electric car accident at Glen Road Bridge (Toronto, ON)
Henry Pellatt who built Casa Loma was the firs owner of electric car in Toronto. When he ordered one and got it delivered, he was so excited to shof off it in society that went to the city immediatly without reading the manual.
It appeared though that breaking interface wasn’t that obvious and magnate wasn’t able to stop it, keeping riding circles and waving people who came to see it pretending it’s all right.

As a designer I insist that the value of IR photography is overestimated by so called ‘photographers’. We all know how many HDRi photos there are now on Flickr, 500px or Google+. The real reason of its popularity as well as love IR is poor skills in Photoshop.
HDRi
The reason is that it is so popular it is so simple to get: a) all you need is just 2 or more still RAWs and b) a simple program with ugly UI downloaded from Internet. Any dummy can pretend being pro retoucher changing colours so much (and they do). Now you can take you dull photo and burn the colours so much that no one will be able to notice that there’s absolutely nothing in your picture behind the saturation and micro sharpness — they gonna simply have an epileptic attack caused by colours.
HDRi though is a very handy technics in skilled hands. The technology itself isn’t guilty for being used by idiots mostly. Some of them I would never give a driving license.
IR
Unlike HDRi there’s no obvious advantage like recovering colours in dark/light areas. And all the photographers who have no idea how to work in Photoshop beside going 1-2-3 tutorials day to day say “you can’t achieve the same luminosity with Photoshop”. The should say “I can’t…” because a) personally I can and b) the IR luminosity isn’t that brilliant to stick to it. Shooting with IR filter is a nightmare because you literally can see nothing in viewfinder, cant set up proper colour balance, hard to focus and get ugly pink photo out of camera. It doesn’t really bring warmer surfaces brighter like in the movies. So why those ‘photogrphers’ keep using it and say it is unique? Simply because with the same pink image source they now can follow some 1-2-3 tutorial to swap it to b/w and colour.
So IR isn’t really that handy, just photo pips should learn more or photo editing but most of them a really hopeless. But well, now you can dilute your photo stream with alternatively looking photos now just in few clicks.
